My most favorite memory was when my now 7 year old,, then 6 year old non verbal autistic son opened a present (which was a first for him to tare the paper)…the present was a musical, light up snowman. We went to help him put batteries in it….his first and only word ever spoken when we touched it “no no no no no”. Cried for hours…tears of joy that there are Christmas miracles and hope he may sometime speak.
Wow! That is really amazing! Thank you for sharing!!!
My favorite Christmas tradition/memory is always opening one gift Christmas Eve night

My favorite Christmas memory is making cookies with my family.
My favorite memory was when I was a child we were all happy everything was perfect this is my favorite because my father was still alive and no one was sick. This was the year I was 14. I didn’t even ask for anything I was just so happy we were all together and happy. I remember this one so well because later on the next year I ended up with bad depression and life was hard for me. My father also ended up passing without any notice a few years ago. So when I think of him and and Christmas I think of that time when all was well.
My favorite Christmas memories are from when I was a girl scout. I did a toy drivr through my church for kids in an orphanage in Kentucky. I loved seeing all the gifts brought in. Then I personally got to wrap each individual gift and send them. After Christmas I received letters of thanks. It just made my heart melt because I was a teen and at that time took a lot for granted.
My favorite memory was when I was a little girl and my dad was still alive. I remember how wonderful Christmas use to be with my whole family. Now I’m working on making those kinds of memories with my husband and 3 year old little boy.
Our tradition is cocoa contest starting Dec 1-24 each year. Different cocoas, different toppings. Dec.24, we vote to see which we “leave for Santa”. The kids are grown but we still do this, as do they! Its fun, delicious and we try different brands!
My favorite tradition is reading the christmas story with all of my family!!
That is a GREAT tradition to have!
My favorite holiday memory was opening my gift to find a cabbage patch doll. They had just come out in the 80’s and my parents were determined to get one for my eldest sister and me. I still have it today 30+ years later.
I still have my first cabbage patch doll also! Funny thing is, my husband had a cabbage patch doll also!
My favorite Christmas memory/tradition is putting on Elvis or Garth Brooks Christmas album every year while we put up the tree. It really gets me into the Christmas spirit!
I LOVE Christmas music!
My mom used to give me and my sister the 12 days of Christmas. It was always little things like a Santa hat, Christmas socks, jingle bells to tie on our shoe laces. Just things to get us into the spirit, but oh so exciting every day.
Oh now that is great thing! I love that idea!
Is when me and my kids went to store and i had them pick a angel from the tree to buy for and told them how it was for kids that didn’t have nothing for Christmas when we got home they went and bagged up some of their toys to give to the kids who needed Christmas that was the best to me cause they wanted to give instead of worrying about what they was getting
That is a GREAT memory! I think it’s important to teach kids while they are young the importance of helping those who are struggling!
My favorite Christmas memory is when I was a little girl. I awoke on Christmas morning to the most Beautiful scene. Presents were everywhere. It had snowed that night and was still snowing. That Christmas I received a bike, some dolls and a piano. I screamed, lol. I could really make some noise now!!! My cousin got an electric organ so it was on, lol. We were so happy and had so much fun. After breakfast, we bundled up and went outside to make a snowman, have a snowball fight and make snow angels. Those were some Beautiful Christmases growing up
Oh my goodness! I would LOVE a white christmas! But, here in the south it’s sooo rare!
My favorite Christmas tradition is watching the Christmas story 24 hours straight.

We always sat at the top of the steps Christmas morning waiting for the okay from our mum to come down. She would put cinnamon buns in the oven, make her coffee, and turn the tree on.
Going to look.at.Christmas lights with all the kids and grandkids. ?
Christmas at Grandmaw’s house with all the Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. It was such a special time of the year. Great memories and cannot pick just one.
My most memorable Christmas is when me and my dad and my baby sister will put the tree up together. Back then you had to put the tree together Branch by branch and he would take turns giving each one of us a branch to put in place. We would decorate the tree with icicles and big big old bulbs. That was the most memorable thing I have about Christmas and I miss my dad so much.
When my daughter was two, she walked right past the piles of presents and went straight for the can of pringles in her stocking. I had to beg her to open stuff. She was stinking cute.

Hi Wendy, thank you for all you do for everyone.
My favorite thing at Christmas is on Christmas Eve when I take my girls out driving around to look at Christmas lights. I think their favorite is opening their new pj’s, to be, slippers, and blanket. They talk about it all year long lol.
Also, I have a home daycare and every year, I order them matching shirts and they have their names on it. I take them to the north pole aka bass pro shop. My nuggets love it. I love it when they get excited and say Miss! Santa knows my name

My first experience was seeing my grandbaby opening their gifts eas priceless
Growing up Every year on christmas my dad used to dress up as santa when it was time to open presents and he would pass them out. It was awesome the little kids where amaze and it was always a great time.
I don’t celebrate Christmas but our family usually gets together in December to sit down to a nice dinner together at my mom’s house. We also exchange gifts and play a few games and/or watch a movie together. Things have changed a little over the last few years, as my sister passed away. It’s just not the same & I don’t feel a sense of happiness going there like I once did. I know it’s not the most happy story but it’s the truth.
Thank you!
My favorite Christmas Tradition is going on Christmas Eve to stay the night with my Grandparents….we make cookies for Santa and play games…we have been doing this for 40 years
My favorite Christmas memory is a memory from two years ago. My grandfather wanted me to see the Riverwalk in San Antonio at Christmas time and made me promise him I would, but I never got to see it before he died. Two years ago, my dad, who had moved to San Antonio in the meantime, had a massive heart attack, so I went to San Antonio to be with him while he recovered. Because of that, I was finally able to see the Riverwalk at Christmas, fulfilling my promise to my grandfather. Not only that, but my dad died suddenly 6 months later, so it was the last Christmas time I got to spend with him. Plus, he got to meet my little girl for the first time. Christmas is a bittersweet time for me now, but I’m grateful for that Christmas beyond words.
I love having family Christmas Eve with my family we started before my parents passed away we’ve tried to keep it up we keep having to change to the biggest house in the family love it
Every year on Christmas morning, my parents would have us gather around the tree to read the Christmas story before we opened presents and talk about what we were thankful for. As we got older, we each took a turn getting to read the story of Jesus’ birth. It was just a fun tradition that We are now starting with our daughter so that she remembers the true meaning of Christmas.
My favorite memory is staying up all night with my brothers Christmas eve to wait for Santa..Of course we fell asleep to do it the next year..
My favorite Christmas memory is waking upon Christmas morning and reading the Christmas story and talking about what we are thankful for before opening our presents. As we got older, we each got to take turns reading the story ourself. It was a great reminder of what Christmas is all about, and I have started this tradition with my own daughter now.
Our favorite Christmas tradition is making cookies for friends and family and opening one gift on Christmas Eve, that we call our Christmas Eve box. They contain new pjs, a movie, cocoa and popcorn. Then we all get into our new pjs, mix up our cocoa, pop some popcorn and binge watch our new movies.
Favorite Christmas memory was going to my maternal Grandmother’s house every year. She had a 4 room house with a front and back porch. The family would eat in shifts in the kitchen – the men first, children second (there were 15 of us cousins), and the women last. She had a white Christmas tree with a rotating colored light that shined on one side of it. She always had hard ribbon candy in dishes and homemade egg nog on the back porch. After Christmas dinner the kids would all go to the Washhouse out back and play dress-up with the old clothes found in the trunk. I have such good memories of my childhood playing with my cousins. I now have 6 grandchildren and making sure that they also have good memories with all their cousins.

I had to work Christmas, but my parents and siblings came to stay with me in my tiny apartment the 23rd and 24th to celebrate the holiday. We did all our regular traditions, plus a few more. It was so special.
My favorite Christmas tradition is going to my grandmother’s on Christmas Eve. We have a large, extended family, so it’s about 50-70 people shoved into a 1200sq ft home for my grandmother’s cooking and a very large gift exchange. The presents stack so high that they cover the tree and sprawl out several feet. I’ll be so sad when we can no longer have these get togethers.
My favourite Christmas memory is Midnight mass for the candlelight service on Christmas Eve. Every Christmas Eve. We’re a big Greek Family. Grandparents, mom, dad, my sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins. I wish we had those times together again.
When my parents was still living on Christmas Eve we kept our pajamas on all day playing board games cracking walnuts and pecans eating oranges and cookies and then off to sleep we went to wait on Santa Claus
My favorite Christmas memory is going to my grandparents house & sitting in my grandfather’s rocking chair looking at the Christmas tree all lit up.

My favorite Christmas memory is when the electricity went out one year on Christmas Eve due to a heavy snow when I was 7 or 8 and we pulled our mattresses into the living room in front of the fire place and spent the night in there like a big family slumber party.
We love to make gingerbread (graham cracker houses). I save a bunch of my kids Halloween candy to decorate them with.
My favorite Christmas memory is gathering on Christmas Eve at my parents house with over 50 people to have a party! We exchanged gifts, laughed, ate, and enjoyed each other’s company. Now most of the people who held that together are gone and things are much smaller now.
My favorite Christmas memory is when I was a little girl and one particular year my gift was a huge box of nothing but yarn and I wondered wow what am I going to do with this because I wanted a toy ? but that is when I learned how to crochet and I have loved to crochet every since making blankets. Best gift I could have received.

My favorite Christmas memory was every year i spent with my loved ones. Growing up with an absent father and a disabled mom was pretty ruff. No we didn’t have the perfect Christmas and barely had money to get presents. My mom always seemed to make this day special anyways she taught us the true meaning of Christmas that it was not all about presents but it was about having each other. I am forever great full for her and thank God each and everyday for keeping our family strong.
Making cookies as a kid
My favorite memory is when.my 1yr old daughter got up Christmas morning. She came into the living room seen all the presents and ran back into her room. We had to coax her back out and explain what was going on. You should have seen her face light up and the hugs she gave. Thank you Wendy for the chance, My favorite Christmas memory as a child was celebrating a mexican tradition called “Las posadas” My Grandmother & other elders of the Church would present a ceramic baby Jesus at different homes & gather in song and prayer. The Hostess of the house would welcome them & make tamales, homeade breads, cookes, hot chocolate (we called Abuelita) in a big clay pot. & also a thick hot cereal we called (champurrado) it was much like cream of wheat. But better…lol The idea was much like what Mary & Joseph went thru when baby Jesus was born. We as kids would help my Mom & Gramma cook and bake for days & then help serve when the guests were done praying. They would leave Baby Jesus for that night & come back for him the next day & do it all over again the next day at someone elses house. I wish those times now could happen again . as a adult you have fond memories & I wish I could share them with my own Grandkids . what I do have are beautiful memories to tell of our days as kids and one of the ways we celebrated Christmas.
My favorite Christmas was my first Christmas home from college. My aunt took myself & 3 sisters in when I was 14 and so with 8kids and no help, we barely made it. That Christmas I busted hard at my job and used ebau and clearance to give all 7 younger kids the biggest Christmas we ever had. It felt so great to be able to do that. Including one sister agreen flute!
My aunt took my 3 sisters and I in when I was 14. So Christmas wasn’t easy with a total of 8 kids. My first year in college, I worked hard and was able to make it a big Christmas for all 7 kids. Including new clothes, shoes, toys and one sister got a new flute that was green. It was by far my favorite Christmas.
